Coaches Notes

Hey Everyone! The long weekend is upon us! We will be doing two hero WOD's this weekend and we wanted to take a moment to give the explanation of Fridays workout.

You probably know the Sarros if you attend Currie Barracks. Peter, Diane, Shannon, Ryan, Rachel and James are regular attendees of the daily workouts and positive and fun to be around. They recently lost a loved one and we will celebrate her life on Friday with a HERO WOD in memory of her.

We will also be collecting donations for URSA - Universal Rehabilitation Service. Erin lived in one of their group homes as well as attended a day program. It is a wonderful agency that always requires additional funding. https://ursa-rehab.com/

Erin Michelle Sarro, of Calgary, passed away in peace and comfort surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the age of 27 years. Erin was a truly special person who was loved by a large circle of family, friends, and health professionals. Erin lived a life of courage, resilience, and strength in the face of numerous medical challenges. Erin was born to parents Peter and Diane on May 19, 1989 in Calgary, joining her older sisters Rachel and Shannon. Later in life, Erin gained her brothers-in-law James and Ryan who absolutely adored her. Erin's family could not even begin to list all the family members, nurses, respiratory therapists, physicians, hairdressers, friends, care workers, Erin-sitters, and volunteers who made Erin's life fulfilling. Thank you. Erin will be profoundly missed by those who knew her.
